Is it just at Kay jewelers?

I never had that problem when my wife and I bought our wedding bands at Zales. And I always wear a comic book, zombie, or Star Wars t-shirt. Of course, I think we lucked out, because the guy that waited on us was apparently also a geek. We talked about comic books and stuff while he was helping us buy our rings.

Now I will say that we got screwed when we went to go pick them up. In fact, the rings weren't even available to be picked up when we needed them. No on could find our paperwork, and the guy that helped us was nowhere to be found. And the wedding was in just a couple of days! They had to do an emergency order, or something, and they didn't even get them engraved like we asked. Luckily, we managed to get the rings just in the nick of time.

Hmmm.... Now that I think abouot it, maybe we did experience something similar to what you are talking about.
